Prof. Bongani Mayosi is the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Cape Town. He is also a Chief Specialist at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. Mayosi is ex-officio President of the Panafrican Society of Cardiology and is a former the President of the South African Heart Association and of the South African College of Physicians.
