Recently has pioneered Transcutaneous Aortic Valve Implantation(TAVI) in South Africa and currently one of the most experienced operators in this field.

Passion for post-graduate education in various roles and Director of Crossroads Institute (South Africa) and convenor of a number of national/international cardiology congresses. Frequent Faculty Member of International Interventional Cardiology Programs including EuroPCR and TCT. Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of EuroPCR.

Founding Chairman of South African Society of Cardiovascular Intervention (SASCI).
